New Delhi: A major accident took place in Rajasthan ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit. At least five policemen were killed. Two others were injured. The incident took place in Rajasthan’s Churu district on Sunday afternoon.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is campaigning in poll-bound Rajasthan. The entire area has been cordoned off by the administration for his rally. The policemen were going to Jhunjhuna from Nagaur. According to local and administration sources, there were five policemen in the car. The speed of the car was very high. Midway through, a reckless truck overtook the police car.The driver of the lorry suddenly applied the brakes while overtaking the car in a reckless manner. That’s when the police car hit the back of the truck. The car skidded off the spot. Five people died. One of the dead was an ASI. There were 3 staff and 1 constable. Two more injuries. They are fighting to the death.
