Professor C.I. Isaac, the top official of the high-level panel, has made several other proposals in the syllabus along with this proposal. One of them is the new division of history. A total of four episodes talk about breaking down history. Namely, the history of classical, medieval, British and modern India. Vedas and Ayurveda textbooks have also been included in the syllabus. Besides, national heroes like Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose have also been asked to be included in the syllabus. It remains to be seen if NCERT will respond to the proposal.
