Goa: 54th International Film Festival held in Goa.The Indian Panorama features the animation film ‘Lachit: The Barrier’ by Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Deputy Inspector General of Assam Police. The short animation film ‘Lachit: The Warrior’, based on the life of Mahabir Lachit Borphukan, a symbol of the bravery of Assamese national life, has already brought glory to Assam by gaining fame in various festivals in the country and abroad.
It is to be noted that ‘Lachit: The Warrior’ has won the National Award in the non-feature section of the 54th International Film Festival, India. Director Partha Sarathi Mahanta and producer Indrani Barua received the award while attending the festival in Goa.
