Guwahati:Noted journalist Anil Baruah’s last rites performed at Navagraha crematorium in Guwahati on Wednesday.The last journey was attended by three daughters of late Baruah.All the three daughters perfomed the mukhagni rituals .Many senior and junior journalists of various newspapers, magazines and electronic media attended the navagraha crematorium during his last journey.Senior journalists Nitya Bora, Nekibur Zaman and Sumitra Hazarika expressed regret over the limited number of people attending the last journey and no representative from the government.
It is noteworthy that veteran journalist and former editor of the regional newspaper ‘Dainik Asam’, Anil Baruah passed away at the age of 84 in Guwahati on Tuesday evening.
