Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra continues its journey in Assam

Guwahati:The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide outreach initiative aimed at informing and empowering citizens about the Central Government’s flagship schemes, continues its journey in Assam. Today the Education Minister of Assam, Shri Ranoj Pegu inaugurated the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Azara Gram Panchayat of Kamrup district.Addressing the gathering, Shri Pegu said that the “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has united people in every part of the country.

People from all walks of life have welcomed the steps taken by the government. This initiative has played an important role in creating awareness among the masses and it ensures that everyone can avail the benefits of government welfare schemes”.With an aim to enhance citizen services, the VBSY programmes facilitated various community-centered initiatives, for fostering well-being among the masses. Among them were on-the-spot connections to the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana scheme, free health check-ups, Aadhaar card registration, registration on PM SVANidhi scheme etc. were conducted at these venues, ensuring easier access to the needy people.Talking about the benefits of government schemes Shri Daruga Das, a resident of Manipuri basti, Guwahati said that PM SVANidhi Yojana is helping him to earn his livelihood. As part of the program’s outreach, officials and PRI members informing the audiences across Assam about government schemes and guided them on how to access the benefits. Apart from this informative materials on various developmental schemes of the central government were also distributed to the attendees at the venue.
