New Delhi: Taking a big action, the Government of India has closed a total of 55 lakh phone numbers. This decision of the government has been taken in view of cyber fraud. These SIMs were taken in exchange for fake documents.
Cases of cyber fraud are increasing in India, new cases of cyber scams are being read every day. Most of these people lose lakhs of rupees, while in some cases the victims have lost more than Rs 1 crore.
Communications Minister Devusingh Chauhan said in Parliament that the investigation has found that the number taken with the help of fake ID cards has been closed. This number is about 55 lakh mobile numbers. Also, 1.32 lakh mobile phones involved in cyber fraud have also been blocked. It’s a big action.
