Human rights violations in detention centers, those with doubtful citizenship kept with criminals
New Delhi: A report by the Azad Awaaz team of the Centre for New Economics Studies points out that people with dubious citizenship are living in detention centres in Assam, where prisoners serving sentences for serious crimes live with them.
New Delhi: Detention centres have been operating in Assam since 2010 due to the contentious issue of citizenship crisis. There have been persistent humanitarian concerns around these centres.
