‘India’ marches against suspension of MPs, demands statement from Modi, Shah

New Delhi: Parliament remained tense on Thursday over the security lapse of the parliament and the suspension of the opposition. Before the session began, MPs from various anti-BJP parties marched from the main entrance of the old Parliament building to Vijay Chowk. They carried banners that read “Save Democracy.”

Senior Congress leaders took part in the Indian march. Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Sanjay Raut and Ram Gopal Yadav raised anti-Modi slogans at the rally. The MPs said, “Dictatorship will not work. Later, the suspended MPs went to the new Parliament and gathered under the Gandhi statue. Rahul Gandhi also joined in.
