New Delhi: Commercial gas prices have come down during the festive season. On Friday, the price of 19 kg cylinder was reduced by Rs 39.50. Gas prices usually change at the beginning of the month. Commercial gas prices rose earlier this month. However, keeping in mind the Christmas-New Year, the price of LPG commercial gas has been reduced quite a bit. However, the price of gas used by households remains unchanged.
State-owned petroleum companies said commercial gas prices have been reduced from Friday. The price of 19 kg commercial cylinder has been reduced by about Rs 40. As a result, the price of a cylinder in Kolkata is Rs 1868.50. Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai are also hovering below Rs 2,000. The fall in gas prices is expected to reduce the price of food sold in stores. This decision will also bring smiles on the faces of food vendors during the festive season.
