New Delhi: Emmanuel Macron may be the chief guest of Republic Day 2024. India has already invited the President of France. It was reported on Friday that Macron will be present in Delhi on January 26. Joe Biden was invited to be the chief guest at the event. But a few days ago, the US President said that he would not be able to attend the Republic Day celebrations.
Macron is known to be very close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In July this year, the French President had invited Modi to be the chief guest at the Bastille Day parade. Modi attended the traditional event in France as the guest of honour. After that, the French President came to India to attend the G-20 Summit. India has invited Biden to be the chief guest at the upcoming Republic Day celebrations. However, this is yet to be officially announced
