New Delhi: The supplementary textbook in schools in Gujarat is the Bhagavad Gita. The state government has introduced the ‘Bhagavad Gita’ as an additional textbook with an aim to create a strong connection between students and India’s cultural heritage.
The syllabus to be included in the syllabus for classes 6 to 8 from the upcoming academic year is in line with the principles laid down in the National Education Policy implemented by the Central Government three years ago.
