Chhattisgarh gunfight: Infant killed in ‘red terror’

New Delhi: : Milk baby sacrificed in ‘red terror’. A six-month-old baby was killed in an encounter between security forces and Naxals in Chhattisgarh. The child’s mother was injured in the collision and admitted to the hospital. Two District Reserve Guard personnel were also injured. They are also undergoing treatment. The gunfight broke out in a forest near Mutvandi village under Gangalur police station area of Bijapur region around 5 pm on Monday.

A team of the District Reserve Guard was conducting an operation against Maoists in the area.A DRG official said that during the operation, there was an encounter between the security forces and the Maoists. A woman and two soldiers were injured in the incident. All are undergoing treatment at the hospital. A search operation is still underway to nab the Maoists.
