The Supreme Court has made it clear that the Gujarat government has no legal jurisdiction to release rapists before the expiry of their tenure. In fact, they abused their power. The Supreme Court today set aside the Gujarat government’s plea to release the convicts of Bilkis Bano before their expiry of their tenure.
