Guwahati:Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today distributed ration cards among beneficiaries under National Food Security by the Assam government. The Chief Minister said that the government is trying to provide free food to about 40 lakh families through such efforts.
It is to be noted that new ration cards also have been distributed in the state from today. The chief minister started this program of distribution of ration cards. Ration cards will be distributed among 43 lakh beneficiaries. This time, 10 lakh 73 thousand new beneficiaries have received ration cards.
