New Delhi: Elections will be held in 56 Rajya Sabha seats across 15 states. Apart from Bengal, elections will also be held in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
Buddhadeb Sengupta, New Delhi: The Lok Sabha elections are ahead, probably in April. Before that, elections to 56 Rajya Sabha seats in 15 states of the country are going to be held. The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday announced the dates for the elections to these 56 seats. This includes 5 seats in Bengal. When will the Rajya Sabha elections be held?
According to the National Election Commission, voting for these 56 seats will be held on February 27. The terms of 50 seats in 13 states end on April 2. The terms of the members of the six seats in the two states will end on April 3. Besides West Bengal, Rajya Sabha elections will be held on February 27 in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
