Mumbai: Shots fired inside a police station in Maharashtra. BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad has been accused of firing at ally Shiv Sena leader Mahesh Gaikwad. Mahesh was seriously injured in the incident. He is currently battling for his life in the hospital.
The incident took place at Hill Line police station in Ulhasnagar on Friday night. The Shinde camp leader and the BJP MLA along with their supporters had gone to the police station to lodge a complaint regarding a land dispute. There the two sides started arguing. As a result, MLA Ganpat fired four rounds at Mahesh. Shiv Sena MLA Rahul Patil was also injured in the incident. Both are currently undergoing treatment at a Thane hospital. Ganpat Gaikwad has already been arrested. Police have also seized the gun from which the shots were fired.
