New Delhi: ED raids Arvind Kejriwal’s personal secretary’s residence in money laundering case The ED is also conducting searches at the house of an AAP MP. According to sources, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting searches in connection with the alleged financial irregularities in the Delhi Jal Board. After this, the AAP said that they will expose the ED.
The ED started searches in 12 areas of Delhi from Tuesday morning. These include the residence of Kejriwal’s personal secretary Vibhav Kumar. ED officials also raided the residence of AAP Rajya Sabha MP ND Gupta. Searches are also being conducted at the residence of former Delhi Jal Board member Shalabh Kumar. However, the ED has not said anything about the search operation.
The AAP has raised its voice against the ED after receiving information about searches in several areas of Delhi. The party said it would make the explosive allegations against the ED public. According to Delhi minister Atishi, the ED raids are being carried out to intimidate everyone in the party. ED officials are also intimidating them into signing false statements. It is also alleged that the ED is deleting the audio records of the witnesses. Atishi, however, clarified that not a single penny was recovered during the search. So you can’t be intimidated.
Several AAP leaders are in jail in connection with the excise case. The ED is investigating them. Kejriwal has also been summoned five times. However, he avoided appearance each time. The Aam Aadmi Party has been claiming from the beginning that Kejriwal is being summoned repeatedly only for the purpose of arresting him. There is no basis for the allegations against him. Kejriwal himself has said that the summons issued to him by the ED are not valid. But the ED is repeatedly active against Kejriwal’s party leaders.
