What exactly happened in Godland? The court had ordered the demolition of illegally constructed mosques and madrassas in Haldayani’s Bhanbulpura area. The police and government officials faced huge protests from the local people while implementing the order. As soon as the mosque was demolished with bulldozers, the mob threw stones at the police. The police also fired tear gas. As many as 50 policemen were injured in the clash.
