Guwahati:Finance Minister Ajanta Neog presented the budget for 2024-25 on the floor of the Assam Legislative Assembly on Monday. Presenting the budget, Finance Minister Neog said- Today on the auspicious floor of the Assam Legislative Assembly, I presented the fourth budget as a Finance Minister.
The efforts made by our Government led by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for the development and development of the people at all walks of life and at all levels of the State are continuing in the Budget for 2024-25. Some notable aspects of the budget are-
Grants to 50 cinema halls in the state.
A proposal of Rs 25 crore is made for this.
Incentive measures to bihu committees will continue. 34.05 crore earmarked for this
A grant of Rs 100 crore to the Sukapha Xetra.
Rs 25,000 each to the bhaona samiti.
An assistance of Rs 1.50 lakh to the Bihu samiti will continue.
A grant of Rs 15 crore to Pat Bausi Satra.
A grant of Rs 5 crore to Kamalabari Satra.
10,000 annually for higher secondary first-year students,
Rs 12,500 for a first-year undergraduate student.
The third Assam Bhawan will be constructed in New Delhi.
Arunoday’s number of beneficiaries has increased to 2.5 lakh.
So far 94,000 people have been appointed.
Candidates from households who do not have government employees will be given 5 per cent marks in the recruitment test.
Rs 100 crore allotted for Deepar Bill.
Creation of development corridors
Road connectivity works will be taken forward under the Assammala 2.0 scheme.
It is Rs 3500 crore for Assam.
The Chief Minister’s Housing Scheme will be given to 13,000 tea communities.
10,000 new houses will be constructed.
Rs 150 crore has been earmarked for this.
