Guwahati: Felicitation to Pradip Barman, senior video journalist of DY365, a leading news group in the state. Barman was awarded the Best Video Journalist of the Year by the Writers’ Forum, a socio-cultural event, at a solemn ceremony held at Vivekananda Bhavan in Guwahati on Sunday.
Apart from Barman, the Writers’ Forum also felicitated 30 persons who have made outstanding contributions in various fields of the state. The award consisted of trophies, certificates and phulam gamosa. Eminent educationist Dr. Dayanand Pathak, veteran journalist Hyder Hussain, Doctor Subhrakinkar Goswami, Writers’ Forum President Amal Narayan Patowary and many other dignitaries were present on the occasion. It is to be noted that Pradeep Barman has been working diligently in the news world of the state as a video journalist for a long time. Pradeep Barman of Kaithalkuchi in Nalbari district is currently a permanent resident of Guwahati Bhetapara. Barman is an executive member of the Asom Bartajeevi Sangha.
