National Health Mission towards providing quality health care services to the people of interior areas of the state
Guwahati:Under the guidance of Keshav Mahanta , Assam’s Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Medical Education and Research etc., a memorandum was signed today between Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya, Mission Director, IAS and Mr. Najeeb Hazarika, Programme Director, Piramal Swasthya Abhiyan, Assam, for the service of Sanjivani-Gaon and Health Promotion Programme Services.
Through this program, the State Health Department has made arrangements for early detection of various diseases through mobile medical units and health teams under the National Health Programme at pre-designated places in the districts and send them to health centres for better treatment, as well as re-monitoring and non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, long-term diseases such as tuberculosis, asthma, etc. Dr. Manoj Kumar Choudhury, Executive Director, National Health Mission, Assam, Shri Pritam Kumar Das, Regional Administrative Officer, National Health Mission, Assam, Shri Jayanta Dutta, ACS, National Health Mission, Regional Administrative Officer, Assam, Dr. Deepjyoti Deka, State Programme Officer, National Health Mission, Assam, Dr. Rahul Kumar Sharma, SPO NCD, National Health Mission, Assam and officials of Piramal Health Management and Research Institute were present.
