New Delhi: The mosque authorities had moved the Allahabad High Court challenging the Varanasi district court’s order granting permission for the puja. The High Court rejected the petition.
The Allahabad High Court has dismissed a petition filed by the Gyanvapi mosque authorities challenging the permission to worship at the ‘tehkhana’. That is, there is no more obstacle to worship. A bench headed by Justice Rohit Ranjan Agarwal of the Allahabad High Court was hearing the matter on Monday. After hearing arguments from both sides, the judge dismissed the mosque committee’s appeal against the verdict of the Varanasi District and Sessions Court. Hindus are naturally happy that the puja is allowed.
