Eminent poet, writer, educationist Nijora Borthakur felicitated at the initiative of Alokprabhanjan Welfare Society in Bokakhat

Bokakhat:With the aim of becoming a daily news group Chiranjeevi, the ‘Door-to-Door Dainandin Barta’, ‘Ghar Ghare Ghar Assam Rising’, ‘Ghar Ghare Alok Pralokprabhanjan’, ‘Ghar-to-Door DB News’ sankalp Yatra started today in Bokakhat under the initiative of The Alokprabhanjan Welfare Society. For this purpose, Shankar Gohain, editor of Dainandin Barta, along with journalist Kumud Nath and Tridiv Das, correspondent of Dainandin Barta of Biswanath Chariali, reached Bokakhat today. At the beginning of this sankalp yatra in Bokakhat, today eminent poet, writer, educationist, retired headmistress of Bokakhat and president of Bokakhat Mohokuma Kobi SanmilanNijora Borthakur was felicitated at his own home in Bokakhat .

It is to be noted that Borthakur, a symbol of sacrifice, has been contributing a lot in the field of education to the deprived and oppressed, backward and poor students of the society throughout his life. As a strong leader of the Assam movement, Borthakur has also introduced revolutionary thinking. Borthakur ,former president of The Poowati Sahitya Sabha in Bokakhat, is the president of the Prayash Study Circle, one of the founders of the intellectual movement in Bokakhat. The function was also attended by Ajanta Talukdar, the correspondent of Bokakhat of Dainandin Barta, and also attended by All Assam Lskhika Somaroh Committee President Suvarna Saikia Bordoloi, President of Assam State Journalists Association Jitu Sharma Rajkhowa, eminent poet-writer and executive president of Kobi Sanmilan of Golaghat District Kalpana Chetia,President of Bokakhat Press Club Bhavananda Kalita, Bokakhat Sub-Divisional Journalists Association President Secretary Bubul Dutta and Nilu Acharya, Assam Senior Citizens’ Conference’s Bokakhat President Anisur Rahman, Ward Commissioner Rajeev Das, eminent playwright journalist Amar Sharma, Grass Bokakhat President Ankur Borthakur. Borthakur was felicitated with a phulam gamosa by Shankar Gohain and the felicitation letter was handed over by Jeetu Sharma Rajkhowa.Shankar Gohain, editor of the Dainandin Barta, delivered the congratulatory speech.
