New Delhi: A court in Uttar Pradesh has issued an arrest warrant against former MP and actress Jaya Prada, accusing him of being an absconder. The order was passed by a Rampur court in connection with two cases registered against Jaya Bachchan for alleged violation of the Model Code of Conduct. The court ordered him to be arrested and produced before the court by March 6.
It is known that Jaya Prada was accused of violating the election code in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. And in these two cases, the special MP-MLA court repeatedly summoned him, but he did not appear even once. Non-bailable warrants were issued against the actress seven times, but she could not be produced before the court. In this situation, the police told the court that Jaya is evading arrest. And all his mobile numbers are ‘switched off’.
