New Delhi: Sudha Murthy has been nominated to the Rajya Sabha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on International Women’s Day. “Social activist Sudha Murthy has been nominated to the Rajya Sabha as a symbol of women power.
Sudha Murthy is the wife of Infosys founder Narayana Murthy. She was the first woman engineer in Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company. Later, he joined Infosys. He is also known for his social welfare work. Sudha has also published several books. She was awarded the Padma Shri in 2006 in recognition of her work. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2023.
