BJP got 81 per cent electoral bonds from 15 companies in Nifty, Sensex

New Delhi: The debate over electoral bonds continues to this day. Among the companies that have purchased electoral bonds since April 2019, the Nifty lists 15, eight of which are listed in the BSE Sensex. According to data released by the State Bank of India (SBI) and the Election Commission on Thursday.

Companies listed in 15 Nifty 50 bought electoral bonds worth a total of Rs 646 crore. Of them, the share of Sensex-listed companies is about half, or Rs 337 crore. Bjp’s electoral bonds bought by only 15 companies are valued at Rs 521 crore or 81% of the total bonds.
