New Delhi: After Gyanbapi this time the SI has started a survey of the Bhojshala campus in Madhya Pradesh. A team from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Friday began a survey of the Bhojshala Temple/Kamal Maula Masjid complex in Madhya Pradesh’s tribal-dominated Dhar district. The ASI team comprising more than a dozen members reached the spot in the morning along with senior officials of police and district administration.
The team conducted the survey work till noon and left the place before the afternoon prayers. The second phase of the survey will be conducted on Saturday The Madhya Pradesh High Court had on March 11 directed the ASI to complete the survey of the said premises within six weeks. For Hindus, there is a temple dedicated to Goddess Bagdevi (Saraswati), while for Muslims there is kamal maula mosque. According to a 2003 system, Hindus perform pujas in the premises on Tuesday while Muslims offer Friday prayers.
