New Delhi: There was joy at the wedding. After that, everyone left for home. But in the end, there was no return home. In an instant, the joy changed to sadness. Four people were killed in an accident in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh. Their car lost control and fell into a ditch. Four others were injured in the incident. They are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The accident took place in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand on Monday. The car was returning from a wedding with eight people. The car lost control near Andoli area. It fell into a 200-meter deep ditch. Four people died on the spot.
The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) reached the spot after receiving information about the accident. Locals also came forward to help them. The injured were taken to a local hospital. ASI Sundar Singh Bora rushed to the spot. Disaster Response Force officials told the media that the injured were rescued from the ditch with the help of locals.
