Minor relief: Supreme Court to hear Kejriwal’s interim bail plea on May 7 amid polls

New Delhi: A little relief for AAP. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear Kejriwal’s bail plea in the middle of the Lok Sabha elections. The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s anticipatory bail plea. The case will be heard on May 7. The court said it will hear Kejriwal’s bail plea expeditiously as the Lok Sabha elections are being held.

The ED has accused Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal of an excise scam. He was arrested on the basis of that complaint. The Supreme Court’s decision to hear Kejriwal’s bail plea has made the AAP very optimistic. A division bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta on Friday announced that it will hear Kejriwal’s bail plea on May 7.
