Kolkata: Justice Chittaranjan Das of the Calcutta High Court revealed a special statement on his departure from the post. Justice Chitta Ranjan Das, who retired as a judge of the Calcutta High Court, said in his farewell address that he was a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Speaking at the farewell ceremony, Justice Das said he was “ready to go back to the organisation” if he was called for any help or work.
“I have to admit that I was a member of the RSS. After more than 14 years as a judge of the High Court, Justice Das was transferred from the Odisha High Court to the Calcutta High Court. “I owe a lot to the organisation… I was there since my childhood and also in my youth.” “I have learnt to be brave, upright and committed to others and above all to a sense of patriotism and work. Justice Das said he deserved his profession.
