Assam is devastated by the cyclone Remal: Students died

Guwahati: Cyclone Remal is now wreaking havoc in Assam. The cyclone has caused heavy rains in Assam. The storm has already killed a college student in Morigaon. Heavy rains and thunderstorms will continue in the state till Wednesday. The Met Department has also forecast heavy rains in many districts of the state on 29th May IMD has issued a red alert in four districts of the state today. An orange alert has been issued in nine districts.

The IMD has issued an orange alert in Kokrajhar, Chirang , Baksa ,Barpeta, Bangaigaon , Bajali, Nagaon , West Karbi Anglong, Nalbari and a red alert in Dima Hasao , Cachar , Hailakandi , Karimganj. The weather department has issued an orange alert for Kokrajhar, Chirang , Goalpara , Barpeta, Bangagaon , Tamulpur, Sonitpur, Bishwanath, Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh and Tinsukia for Wednesday. The IMD has also issued a red alert in Chirang, Baksa and Dima Hasao for tomorrow.A college student, identified as Kausik Bordoloi Amphi, was killed when a tree fell on the auto-rickshaw in which he was travelling at Dighalbori in Morigaon district.
