Guwahati : Bipul Regan, a prominent poet, novelist and translator, passed away at 9.50 pm on Friday after suffering from kidney disease at the Guwahati Medical College Hospital of the name Bipul Regan, who is also well known in Hindi and Malayalam literature and is fluent in several languages.
His notable works include Nilanjana(collection of poems),Ejak Manuh Ek Hriday(novel)’,Maharthi’s Story(collection of short stories),Randhanichukar Hanhi(novel). The poet’s body was brought to the Assam Sahitya Sabha office in Jorhat on Saturday and paid his last respects by various organizations and admirers.
