Mumbai:Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar’s triplex apartment in Mumbai’s Pali Hill has been sold for Rs 172 crore. The building was priced at Rs 1.81 lakh per square foot. The house sold for Rs 172 crore after his former lavish bungalow was upgraded to a luxury mansion. Construction company Epco Infratech Pvt Ltd has bought the luxury property. The carpet area on the 9th, 10th and 11th floors of the building is 9,527 square feet and is worth Rs 155 crore. The tax payable for this transaction is Rs 9.3 crore.
The redeveloped building houses a 2,000-square-foot museum dedicated to Dilip Kumar as well as 4 and 5 BHK luxury apartments. The museum, located on the ground floor, was built in consultation with his wife Saira Banu.
Dilip Kumar has been involved in a long-running legal battle over the property. Dilip Kumar acquired the rights to the property from Hassan Samruddin, who held the property in his name in the name of Khatau Trust.
