Kolkata: The West Bengal government wants to give more importance to women’s safety. And for that reason, the Chief Minister has decided to launch several services for women who work at night. He has been named ‘Rattire Sathi’. Alapan Banerjee, Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister, has given details about the benefits of this project. It is known –
Under this scheme, rest rooms with toilets will be constructed in hospitals for women
There will be additional female security guards for the night
For surveillance, ‘Safe Zone’ ‘Rattirer Sathi’ mobile app will be created, which will be connected with the local police station and will sound an alarm if any incident occurs.
24 hours helpline number – 100/112 will be launched
Everyone will undergo security check, breath test while entering the hospital. Breath test to prevent any alcoholic from entering the hospital
The state government has asked for the exclusion of women as much as possible from the night shift. If work is to be done, women will work in pairs or in groups
Drinking water facility on all floors of the hospital
The night shift should be balanced between male and female workers
Identity cards must be worn at work during night working hours
Non-governmental organizations also have to install ‘Rattire Sathi’
