Two thousand children celebrated Krishna Janmashtami with Krishna dance at the historic Kachari Maidan in Dhemaji

Dhemaji 26 August : The Janmashtami of Lord Krishna is celebrated at home and abroad today. 2,000 children performed Krishna dance on the occasion of Janmashtami dance at the historic Kachari Maidan in Dhemaji today.
The program was inaugurated by the Satradhikar of Sri Sri Uttara Kamalabari Satra, Majuli, Janardan Deb Goswami and the Satradhikar of Narayanpur Belguri Satra, Munindra Narayan Mahant by lighting lanterns. The event was attended by Assam Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimari, Education Minister Dr. Ronoj Pegu, MLA Bhuvan Pegu, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Assam Kshetra Field Promoter Bashishta Bujrabarua, , Uttar Purvanchal Lok Kalyan Samiti’s Secretary Parag Kalita and Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra’s Secretary Surdashan Thakur, B. G Boruah khetra Pachark RSS Northeast region. The event was also attended by Rajib Barua, Executive Director, DIAS, Yogesh shasti, Dharma jagaran pramukh Northeast region, District Commissioner Dhemaji, Superintendent of Police Dhemaji, Nritya Guru Deepak Barua, Nritya Guru Bitopan Bora and others. “This is a new experience in my life,” said Biswajit Daimari, Speaker of the Assam Assembly. I have never had such an experience before .He said that the children’s performance of Sri Sri Krishna Leela is a part of our civilization and culture .The event was attended by the Minister of Education, Dr. Ronoj Pegu, who thanked the organizers and the Kamalabari Satra for organizing such an event.
