“Action is not against the agitators, but the doctors must return to work”, clarified the Supreme Court
New Delhi: Doctors are on strike to protest the RG Kar case. The strike has been going on for about thirteen days. In this situation, the Supreme Court ordered the agitating doctors to return to work in the hearing of the RG Kar case. However, the Supreme Court has clarified that no action can be taken against the agitators.
In the second hearing of the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital case, the Chief Justice once again requested the doctors to return to work. He said, “AIIMS doctors are not working for 13 days. I will tell them, please go back to work. We will ensure that no action is taken against you.” The Supreme Court has asked the Union Health Ministry to open a portal. Advice can be given there. The National Task Force will listen to the suggestions of doctors and students from various hospitals. The Supreme Court, in a hearing last Tuesday, ordered the security framework of the hospitals to be overhauled. The apex court proposed to form a task force for the safety of doctors and medical staff.
