Guwahati: Today is the second day of the autumn session of the Assam Assembly Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma made a series of remarks addressed to ULFA (I) chief Paresh Baruah on the second day of the session.It may be recalled that on the day of last Independence Day, bombs installed by ULFA (I) were recovered at 25 places in the state. On the issue of this bomb, the Chief Minister appealed to Paresh Baruah in the House today and said, “If you want to blow up the bomb, blow it in front of my house or infront of minister’s residence.
There should not be bombs planted in places like Palashbari or Jagiroad . This will hamper industrialization.Chief Minister Dr. Sharma further addressed Paresh Baruah and said, “Your enmity is with the Government of India and not with the Assamese. If such incidents recur on January 26, then the Tata Group will move up from Assam, which is a huge loss for us. So the industrialisation environment in Assam should not be spoiled.””We have laid special emphasis on industrialization in Assam. Assam has only 20 lakh unemployed against 32 lakh unemployed Tata Group will provide employment to a total of 27 thousand people in Assam. As a result Assam will move ahead in terms of industry.The Chief Minister further said, “Apart from Oil India or ONGC, there are no such big industries in Assam. Those companies will also leave Assam when the oil reserves are over. So we have to look for alternative big enterprises. Responding to the Prime Minister’s call, the Tata Group has come forward to invest in Assam. “
