Guwahati:Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma on Wednesday made several important remarks regarding the Aadhaar card in the state. The CM said that 9 lakh 35 thousand 682 people who were deprived of Aadhaar cards will now get the Aadhaar cards: . Aadhaar will be available within 15 days. These people’s Aadhaar cards had been suspended since the NRC biometrics were issued. They were deprived of government benefits due to the closure of their Aadhaar cards.
The Chief Minister said these people have no direct connection with the NRC and the Aadhaar card. The CM said many people whose names were in the NRC earlier did not get Aadhaar cards. The Government of India has allowed these people to be issued Aadhaar cards. The Government of India has directed UIDAI to issue Aadhaar cards. The CM said the problem has been resolved after many days. Cm said after getting your Aadhaar card, you will also get your ration card. The CM said this at a press conference at Lokseva Bhawan today.
