According to the weather office, 185 mm of rain has been received in Devbhoomi Dwarka district alone in the last three days. Dwarka, Jamnagar, Rajkot and Porbandar flooded after rains started on Sunday. Hundreds of thousands of people have been submerged in water in the districts. Rescue work has started. Army and National Disaster Response Force are conducting operations in various areas. Meanwhile, the Gujarat government said in a statement that one person each died in Morbi, Vadodara, Baruch, Jamnagar, Aravalli, Panchmahal and Dwarka. 6 people died in Anand. 4 people died in Ahmedabad. 2 deaths each occurred in Gandhinagar, Kheda, Mahisagarh, Dahor and Surindernagar districts.
At least 7 people died when a tractor-trolley was washed away in Dhavana village of Morbi district. It should be noted that the suffering of Gujarat is not ending now. Red alert has been issued in 11 districts of the state and yellow alert in 22 states on Thursday.
