New Delhi: The golden tour that started in Paralympic shooting . The streak of success continued on Saturday. India’s Rubina Francis bagged bronze in women’s 10m air pistol SH1 event. He got 211.1 points in the final. This is India’s fourth medal in shooting at the current Paralympics.
Rubina finished sixth in the qualifying round of the event. In the final, however, he was among the medal contenders from the start. At one time he came in second place. But in the end he had to be satisfied with getting bronze. Iranian athletes won gold in this event. Turkey’s Özgan also got silver.
This is India’s fourth medal in shooting at the current Paralympics. On Friday, Avni Sekhara achieved the goal of elusive gold in the Olympics. Avni won gold in SH1 event of 10m air rifle. India’s Mona Aggarwal got bronze in the same event. Later, Manish Narwal bagged the silver in the boys’ 10m air pistol SH1 event. Rubina got bronze that day.
