48th Battalion of CRPF celebrates death anniversary of martyr Dharmendra Roy in Bahalpur

Chapar: “The name of Shaheed Dharmendra Roy who sacrificed his life for the sake of the motherland will forever be inscribed in golden letters in the glorious history of India, even if the martyr dies physically, he will remain immortal in the eyes of Indians forever. This is a matter of pride for the entire Bahalpur residents,” the CRPF addressed the death anniversary of CRPF jawan Dharmendra Roy, who died in a Mine blast planted by naxals on September 3, 2005.

48th Battalion Commanding Officer Babul Hagra remered Dharmendra Roy. Dharmendra Roy was killed in a mine blast in 2005 while serving as a CRPF soldier .The 48th CRPF Battalionorganized a memorial service and tribute ceremony at the premises of Bahalpur Kali Mandir on the occasion of the 19th death anniversary of the martyr .The event was attended by Bilasipara Sub-Division Police Officer Rajat Kumar Paul, Chapar Police Station In-charge Dipjyoti Ingti, CRPF Commanding Officer Babul Hagra, Bahalpur SFS School Principal Father Joe, father of martyr Dharmendra Roy, Bhumidhar Roy and uncle of the martyr Chintamohan Roy, brother Padmalochan Roy, former army soldier Jaldhar Roy, social worker Gangadhar Roy etc.
