Guwahati: In a significant development for Assam, Lakhipur was inaugurated as a co-district during a ceremony at Sadbhavna Bhawan in Fulertol on Saturday. The event was presided over by Jayanta Mallabaruah, the Minister for Public Health Engineering, Skill Employment & Entrepreneurship, and Tourism, marking a pivotal moment for regional development in the state.The inauguration was attended by an array of dignitaries, including Silchar Member of Parliament Parimal Suklabaidya, Udharbond MLA Mihir Kanti Shom, Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty, and Cachar Deputy Commissioner Mridul Yadav.
