Babul, originally from Moirabari in Assam’s Morigaon district, had been living in Kerala with Zahida, his second wife.Concerns began to arise when Babul’s first wife, who remained in Moirabari, was unable to reach him for over a week. Growing increasingly anxious, she sought help from his friends and ultimately contacted his landlord in Kerala for assistance. The landlord, noticing Babul’s prolonged absence, decided to investigate the situation. Upon forcibly entering Babul’s rented room, he was met with a foul odor and discovered the decaying body of his tenant.The authorities swiftly launched an investigation, tracking Khatun’s movements after the alleged crime. It was revealed that she had fled back to her hometown in Cachar, Assam.
