Guwahati: On October 21, the body of Ritwik Ghosh, the son of an Indian Air Force officer, was recovered from the Jia Bharali River at Kalabari Chapori. This tragic discovery concludes a five-day search that began after both father and son fell into the Kameng River in Tippi, Arunachal Pradesh, on October 17. While near the riverbank, Bapi Ghosh and his son were swept away by strong currents despite rescue efforts.
Search operations, involving local authorities and military personnel, intensified after Bapi Ghosh’s body was found at Chikmukh in Jamugurihat two days prior. The recovery of Ritwik’s body has left the Ghosh family in profound mourning, as the local community reflects on the tragic loss of a devoted Air Force member and his young child.
