Guwahati:Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has voiced serious concerns regarding activities in educational institutions in Jharkhand, specifically alleging that some Madrasas are involved in training intruders and facilitating the acquisition of Aadhar cards for them. These claims were made in light of the upcoming elections.Sarma expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would secure victory in the Santhal Pargana region, asserting that the implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) would be a priority if they come to power. He also called for the dismissal of state minister Irfan Ansari, although he did not provide detailed reasons for this demand. On October 27, Sarma criticized Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren for not taking appropriate action against Ansari, who recently made controversial remarks about Sita Soren. While Sarma condemned Ansari’s comments as “objectionable,” he expressed greater disappointment in Soren’s inaction.”Our party strongly disapproves of the language used by Irfan Ansari against Sita Soren. However, I am more troubled by Hemant Soren’s failure to address such disrespect toward his own sister-in-law,” Sarma stated. He further accused Soren of undermining the dignity of the Adivasi community by allowing the situation to remain unaddressed, suggesting that voters in the tribal community would remember this when heading to the polls.
