Guwahati:Assam’s cabinet is expected to undergo a reshuffle soon, with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealing the possibility of appointing a minister from the Barak Valley. Sarma spoke to the media, suggesting that the reshuffle might involve the addition of two ministers, although the final decision will be made following consultations in Delhi.He emphasized that including a minister from Barak Valley is a key part of their agenda, but if the discussions lead to the conclusion that additional ministers are necessary, this will be taken into account. “Consultations are ongoing, and we will make the final decision after discussions in Delhi,” Sarma explained.The Barak Valley, a region with significant cultural and linguistic diversity, has long sought enhanced representation in the state government.
