Guwahati: In a series of viral videos, retired Bangladeshi military personnel have made provocative claims about their ability to capture key Indian territories like Assam and Kolkata in just four days. The ex-soldiers assert that a trained force of 5,100 troops, backed by millions of Bangladeshis, could swiftly take control of these regions. One of the former officers boasted that the Bangladeshi Army is “battle-ready” and prepared to teach India a lesson. These statements come at a time of growing diplomatic tensions between India and Bangladesh, primarily over concerns related to the safety of minorities in Bangladesh and escalating border disputes. The inflammatory rhetoric has heightened fears of potential conflict in the region.
