Guwahati: A devastating fire broke out near Tinsukia Law College during a wedding ceremony on December 14, leaving seven individuals critically injured. The victims, including Rekha Devi, Manju Devi, Kartik Prasad, Reena Prasad, Rishi Prasad, Shubha Shah, and Poonam Devi, were initially treated at Tinsukia Civil Hospital before being moved to Dibrugarh Medical College for further medical attention.The cause of the fire is still unknown, and authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The fire occurred during the wedding of local resident Sachin Saha, adding to the tragedy of the day.Tinsukia’s Deputy Commissioner visited the scene and expressed doubts about the incident’s circumstances. The district magistrate has been tasked with overseeing the inquiry into the matter as authorities continue to search for answers.
