Guwahati: BJP Member of Parliament (MP) Pratap Chandra Sarangi has alleged that he was shoved by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a protest in Parliament, leading to a fall that caused a head injury. The incident occurred amid a demonstration by Congress over remarks made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, during the ongoing winter session.Sarangi recounted that he was standing near the stairs when another MP, allegedly pushed by Gandhi, fell onto him. “I lost my balance and fell down,” Sarangi explained, describing how the fall resulted in an injury to his head.Rahul Gandhi, addressing the incident, provided a different version of events. He explained that he was trying to enter Parliament when BJP MPs attempted to block his path, pushing and threatening him. Gandhi acknowledged the physical altercation, noting, “This might be on your camera,” referring to the confrontation at the entrance.
