Guwahati:The Assam Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary visited the venue for the upcoming 64th session of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha at Daimu Nagar in Dimakuchi today. The prestigious literary event, representing the cultural and linguistic heritage of the Bodo community, is scheduled to take place from January 9 to 12 in the Odalguri district, near the Indo-Bhutan border.Highlighting the significance of the event, Daimary shared that a distinguished lineup of dignitaries, including Ambassadors, Union Ministers, Governors from various states, Members of Parliament, Chief Ministers, Cabinet Ministers and MLAs will be in attendance. Delegates from neighboring countries like Bangladesh and Nepal will also participate, underscoring the Sabha’s international appeal.In a key highlight, Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita is set to inaugurate the exhibition segment of the event on January 6. The exhibition will feature significant contributions from the Oil Corporation of India and the Indian Army, offering visitors an engaging display of regional development and defense collaborations.The four-day session promises a vibrant array of activities, including cultural programs, book fairs, and trade fairs. These events aim to celebrate Bodo literature, promote regional trade, and showcase artistic talent, further strengthening the socio-cultural fabric of the Bodo community.The Bodo Sahitya Sabha continues to play a pivotal role in the preservation and promotion of the Bodo language and literature, and the 64th session is expected to be a landmark gathering that fosters cultural exchange and literary growth.
